Summer and sunflowers go hand in hand and there’s not many sights that are as stunning as a sea of bright yellow flowers.  To see where in Dorset you can journey on a sunflower trail or visit to pick your own, please see below.

DORSET SUNFLOWER TRAIL – DORCHESTER

PLEASE NOTE, THIS TRAIL IS NOW CLOSED

The Dorset Sunflower Trail is back and this year they are raising money for the Special Baby Care Unit at Dorset County Hospital.

The theme of the trail this year is British Bees.  You can navigate through the huge longer Bee shape trail or take a leisurely stroll on the shorter trail which has been created with accessibility in mind.  Pack a picnic or take advantage of the cafe for drinks, cakes and snacks.

SUNFLOWER SAUNTER AT COPPETT HILL – BRIDPORT

Take a meander around the stunning field of sunflowers surrounded by wildflowers and picnic benches.  At the barn there’s a small tea room selling refreshments, cake and ice cream.

SUNFLOWERS AT BLANDFORD

Families can enjoy the 1 acre sunflower trail and pick your own sunflowers.  Refreshments are available.

GORCOMBE FARM - BLANDFORD FORUM

Stroll through the sunflower field enjoying nature and taking photos.  If you’re thirsty or peckish after then you can head to The Happy Farmer Café for coffee, cake or lunch.

PICKING PATCH – FORDINGBRIDGE

9 varieties and over 40,000 sunflowers are grown at the Picking Patch.  Sessions can be booked for the PYO, crafts, escape room and puzzle maize maze.
