SWANAGE

Info: The theme for the 2026 Carnival is ‘Wacky Western in Carnival Canyon’. This popular event starts on Saturday 25th July and in addition to family friendly activities, live music, performances and air displays, there will be firework displays across the bay at 9.45pm on Saturday 25th July, Wednesday 29th July, and Saturday 1st August 2026.

POOLE QUAY

Info: Evening entertainment on Poole Quay includes live music, children’s entertainment and family fun. The evening ends with a dazzling firework display over the harbour at 10pm every Thursday from the 6th August to 27th August 2026.

LYME REGIS

Info: Lyme Regis Carnival week starts with a bang as the harbour offers a stunning backdrop for a spectacular fireworks display at 9.30pm on Friday 31st July 2026. Carnival week is packed full of fun events and activities for all the family to enjoy, culminating in the Grand Carnival Procession on Saturday 8th August 2026.

WEYMOUTH SEAFRONT

Info: Spend the evening on Weymouth Esplanade enjoying the seafront attractions and then stand back to watch the grand fireworks display which is on every Monday at 9.30pm from the 3rd August to 31st August 2026.

WAREHAM QUAY

Info: Wareham Wednesdays host fun theme nights with musical guests, stalls and lots of family entertainment every Wednesday in August 2026. All events end with a fantastic fireworks displays near the Quay at 10pm.

BOURNEMOUTH SEAFRONT

Info: The summer firework displays can traditionally be seen over the water near Bournemouth Pier at 10pm every Friday from 24th July to 28th August 2026.

CHRISTCHURCH

Info: There’s so much going on in Christchurch over the Carnival weekend with live music, stalls, children’s entertainers and fun for all the family. The fireworks display over the river will start at 9.30pm on Saturday 15th August 2026.

Families can visit a variety of local farms on the 7th June for Open Farm Sunday. Find out about the story behind our food and how farming affects our everyday lives. Each Open Farm Sunday event is unique and activities can include machinery displays, tractor and trailer rides, demonstrations, nature walks and much more!

COOMBE HOUSE FARM

Info: Discover the therapeutic care farm, learn about the journey so far, meet the farm team and explore what makes this space so special for the school and community. Local businesses and organisations will set up stalls to showcase their products, services and community work. Enjoy a day filled with connection, learning, and celebration, with special activities planned.

COPPETT HILL

Info: This event at Coppet Hill is hosted in conjunction with the Melplash Agricultural Society and the Marshwood Vale Farmers Cluster. Discover the vital role farmers play in producing our food, caring for nature, and protecting our environment. Families can enjoy tractor and trailer rides around the farm, wheat to bread demonstrations, sheep shearing and the story of wool, meet the animals – sheep, cattle, pigs, calves and chickens, hands-on farm-to-food activities for kids, plus local experts will be there including Dorset Wildlife Trust and Wessex Water. Local food will also be available or bring a picnic and enjoy the family friendly picnic area.

KNIFE HILL FARM

Info: Visit and see the organic dairy farm to learn how the cows convert grass into milk. Meet the cows and other farm animals and take a tractor trailer ride to see the farm and cows grazing. Meet other local producers and learn how they make their products with a chance to try and buy. Free entry, small cash fee for trailer rides.

KINGSTON MAURWARD COLLEGE

Info: Kingston Maurward will have a display of farm machinery, a selection of livestock and other animals, talks from the farm staff, plus information boards and identification of the cereal crops. They request donations for charity and would appreciate booking to enable them to manage numbers.

DOLLENS FARM

Info: Dollens Farm is an organic, 220 dairy herd, farmed over 720 acres, in a quiet Dorset valley. Visit the dairy farm and enjoy tractor and trailer rides around chalkland sites of Special Scientific Interest (S.S.I.), with outstanding views of the Sydling Valley. Tours are approximately 1 hour, all day until 4pm. View milking from 2pm. Arla will be in attendance, along with Dorset Wildlife Trust.
