Before Christmas a lovely Mum from school called Debbie was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Immediate Surgery successfully removed 100% of the tumour but she was told that the Glioblastoma was aggressive and currently incurable.

There are multiple medical trials which have very positive statistical results for prolonging life, especially for someone like Debs who has age and fitness on her side. Debs has all the love and support from her friends and family and the community are doing everything they can to enable her to go to Germany to receive treatment which could give her more time to make memories with her family.

There have been lots of great fundraising events running so far and I decided it would be nice to organise an afternoon tea with a raffle for her.

I booked Key West Bar and Grill and they kindly allowed us to eat at Noon so those of us who needed to dash off to school runs could.  We had the sun shining for us and over 20 parents and 10 kiddies enjoyed delicious sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, freshly made cakes and more tea than we could drink.

Claire from The Little Baby Massage Company wanted to help and very kindly offered to bring crafts for the kiddies and they all enjoyed making and painting and taking their artwork home.  She even provided a baby sensory area for the little one’s who weren’t yet ready for a pritt stick.

I was delighted that we were given so many great prizes and the event raised over £300 which I was thrilled with.
